For from Israel is even this!This seems to follow a very straightforward chain of logic. The calf (or whatever is being referred to) is made by a craftsman. God was not made, He has always existed. Therefore, this thing can't be God.
A craftsman made it, so it is not God;
Surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to pieces.
However, it appears that logic has broken down. Apparently they have rejected the premise of an eternal God, who created all. Therefore, they are ignoring the fact that, sooner or later, their false god will be destroyed, either by natural process or by other people.
