But the LORD said to me, 'Go prophesy to My people Israel.'Amos wasn't some high-born noble, or person of importance. He was a shepherd, one of the lowest of the low. God had a way of using shepherds for things that no one would expect, like kings or heralds.
It is encouraging to know that God doesn't care about bloodlines. He isn't interested in who your father was, or what he did, or where he came from. He cares about you being willing to be used when called.
