All things came into being through him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.Humans like to think of ourselves as creative. We like to look at something and be able to say, "I made that." However, God made everything, and without Him there is nothing we can make.
I wonder if an acute awareness of this verse is why I don't consider myself to be very creative. I don't particularly like making things, and don't particularly like the things I make. Is it because I know I didn't make them? Or perhaps is it a resentment that I can't truly take credit?
