For the LORD of hosts has planned, and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back?"My first time teaching the Sunday School class I'm currently in, I got "stuck" with the second time Abraham lied about Sarah being his wife. In digging to find something non-repetitive, I realized that God acted directly to bring out the truth, because Sarah was supposed to have Abraham's son within a year.
God acted directly, because man had failed. He had to intervene, because there couldn't be any dispute in the child's parentage. That fits with this verse very nicely, I think.
