Teach me Your way, O LORD;The goal of all believers is to be more like Christ, to represent Him better in this world, that others might follow Him as well. In order to know how we should act, we need to be taught. Without a teacher, we're only guessing at what we should do.
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.
Once we are taught, though, we still have a choice. We can either choose to put into practice what we're taught, or we can turn away from it. We can know things without applying them; I can be rather good at that. But if we don't apply the teachings, they are useless to us, and it shows we don't truly fear God.
