"Also concerning the foreigner who is not from Your people Israel, when he comes from a far country for Your great name's sake and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm, when they come and pray toward this house,As one who would be considered a foreigner, I find it very heartening that Solomon included "us" in his supplication to God. He's just created the Temple for God's glory to dwell in. He could have kept it all to the Israelites. They were God's chosen people, after all, to the exclusion of all other nations.
Yet here Solomon recognizes that some outsiders would see the truth, and come to worship God. He therefore makes provision for them, and includes them in his request for God's blessing. He wants all to be blessed by God, who recognize him as the only true God.
